It’s said that the heart wants what the heart wants, but when it comes to getting your fiancé a visa, that path could include some problems. One of those could come in the form of a Stokes interview.
Simply going to one of these interviews can make people nervous. After all, the future of your relationship depends on your ability to answer the questions correctly.
How to get the interview right
The interview is a test, and how do people make sure they pass tests? By studying for them. While you don’t want your answers to seem rehearsed, you should still review some common questions to make sure that your answers are similar enough to pass the interview test.
Below are some of the questions that the Stokes interviewer might ask the two of you. While they may seem invasive, they are designed to identify fake marriages for green cards from true relationships based on love.
- How did the two of you meet?
- Describe your first date.
- Do you have any pets?
- What day is your garbage pick-up?
- On which side of the bed do you sleep?
- Which partner is responsible for cleaning the house?
- Who pays the bills, and how are they paid (cash, check or online)
- What type of birth control do you use?
- How many bedrooms and bathrooms are in your house or apartment?
- What did you eat for breakfast this morning?
- What covers the windows in your living room?
- Are you on a family plan for your cell phones?
- Where do you buy or get your household furniture?
- Describe the sofa in your living room.
- How many TVs do you own?
- What company provides you with phone, cable and internet services?
As you can tell by the questions, the more accurate details and similar answers you and your fiancé can provide to the interviewer, the better your chances are for passing your Stokes interview and moving closer to getting a green card.
